I'm curious with all of the Fender colors and paint schemes over the years what would say is the ugliest Strat on the planet?
What color do you wish they would bring back that might be gone?

I don't like 3 colour sunburst much, but I couldn't call it ugly. The red inbetween shade looks wrong to me.

Antigua maybe, thats pretty hideous in my opinion. I'm just waiting for someone to put a mother of toiletseat pickguard on a anigua strat. Then I will know that all taste has left the species and that devolution is a fact.

And there we have the problem with this thread in a nutshell. Whatever someone doesn't like will be someone else's favorite look! For instance, there was a gentleman just recently who was delighted with the look of his Antigua Strat. (Regarding which I have... no comment. )

I clearly recall the pix of Al's sunburst CIJ. Very pretty, to my eye!

Still, at the risk of hurting lots of people's feelings, the finish I really LOATHE is

I dont hate the 3 colour sunburst at all, I don't even think it's ugly. It just looks odd to me. As you say Al that could all change in the flesh.

Sherwood Green gets my vote.

While I have yet to see the Antigua strat, the pictures that I've seen, make it a really cool looking finish. I think I prefer the uniqueness of the guitar finish.

I prefer the 2 tone burst finish, the hello kitty thing is horrible (unless you are 10 year old girl) The Antigua finish doesn't look that bad and it fits on the Eric Clapton signature (a subtle crossroads center reference). I'm not really fond of solid colors especially red.

Any shade of blue, with a tortoise-shell pickguard.

It looks like raw azz!!!

nah sorry I just cant accept puke fading out to snot colouring. I also think all tortoise shell pick guards should go to room 101. Black only just stays out, cos it looks right on the Gilmour.

I fail to see how that is a nod to anything other than saturday night pavement decoration.

I know this isn't "strat" related... but I think this axe deserves an honorable mention...

It does not feel like paradise, it feels like "why the hell would ANYONE want that?"

Hello Kitty! Yep, uglist thing I ever saw. Right up there with Gibson Zoot SG guitars and Epiphone's Emily the Strange SG...
