As for playing and sound I've always been partial to the 62-65 L series Strats as they have the fullest clean"quack"(IMO) and the neck profile doesn't cause fatigue as quickly as some others.When I bought my '65 Strat back in the early 70s I thought it was the nicest Strat I'd ever played and still do.

I suppose we all play from the cradle. '58 was my first and, after 10 years in hand anything which recalls that comfort level becomes a keeper.
