Just thought I would share the gift my wife got me for my 30th!

I told her ages ago that when we have a kid (we are expecting our first in August) that I wanted a guitar of the same year to kind of celebrate. Well she is a great listener because she got me a 2010 MIA Black on Rosewood standard.
She also got me an awesome cake.
I didn't want to rain on her parade and tell her Ace never played strats, but before I could, I saw my present and was in total shock.

First baby this year! First MIA strat this year! So far I am loving my 30s!

mine has bought me 2 amps and 3 guitars this yr as well, all the while saying "i just dont see why you need another amp, i just dont see why you need another guitar" lol. God love her and so do i.
it takes a special woman to buy you a strat, a ace cake, all the while expecting a baby.

If you got that pic of ace with a strat I would love to see it. I have see a pic of his guitar collection which had a couple of fenders, but never seen a pic of him playing one live.

Sounds like we both have keepers in our lives.
She hinted that maybe I need to thin the herd a little..... hopefully that idea will die down soon

thanks everyone.... told the wife all the positive reviews she has gotten
amazing that she did all this without anyone's help while being 7 1/2 months pregnant!

Congratulations on the Upcoming baby, the New Stratocaster, and a very thoughtful wife. My wife did the same thing for me last year. She bought me a Gibson LP Traditional Plus for my 51st birthday because she knew I wanted to learn to play. No baby though, now that would be cool!!!
