I am in the process of buying a guitar from Guitar Center and need some help Identifying the Stratocaster that I am purchasing. It is a used Mexican Stratocaster serial #MN8****** I was told by two different employees that this was a Classic Player 60’s guitar and also was told it is a Deluxe player Stratocaster. I don’t believe it is a deluxe player because it doesn’t have a push button by the two tone knobs and I don’t know if it is a classic player 60’s because I was told that series was introduced in
2006 but the serial would suggest it is 1998-1999 Stratocaster. She is a beauty and I just want to know exactly what I am getting

Definitely not a Classic Player 60's strat. Could be a Classic 60's, or some type of Deluxe. CP 60's would have no skunk stripe, 2 point trem, and Custom Shop Designed neck plate.

Not a Classic 60's. No skunk stripe here.

I emailed fender and I was told it is a '98 super strat which is the earlier incarnation of the deluxe players strat but I have seen that the super strat is supposed to have the button next to the two tone knobs, my guitar doesn't have that
