I've been reading on this forum for awhile so I thought I may as well join! I've owned a Strat previously- '05 Highway 1, but am waiting on a back-ordered Deluxe HSS...until Sept....sigh.

There has been a lot of rumors about huge delays at the Fender factory. Still, no one at Fender has addressed it...

Thanks for the welcome. The 'lobster' reference comes from working in schools where little kids could only pronounce my last name as 'lobster'...so it stuck.

As for the delays at the factory I've been told up to 5 months wait for the Deluxe. Mind you, I don't really want them to hurry and send it with only 5 tuners and a tone knob missing.

Welcome abord mrlobster, hope to see you here often now. :) Don't worry about the delivery time, sometimes it's longer sometimes it arrives before the dead line. When I ordered my 2006 Highway One Tele they told me that it would take about eight weeks and it arrived in five weeks. Hope for the best. See ya around. :)
