Those are custom shop guitars. Look for custom shop used prices to know if its worth it. The EJ strat is not a custom shop, so the quality may not be the same....

Thanks DB! I understand it's a CS Strat but I'm just wondering how they compare to other Strats, such as the EJ model I'm considering... I've never played a CS, that I know of, and to me it's not that important to own one, just looking for a great player with a beautiful tone... I should go check it out in person, already know how the EJ feels and sounds, that should help me decide.

BTW, it's Wildwood 10 Deluxe, so it's a bit different I guess...

There are not words to describe how a well cared for customshop plays.

Heres a clue.

It took me 7 months to get a American Deluxe to play right.
It took 9 months to get my baja tele to play the way I wanted.
It took 2 months to get a 57hotrod to play exactly how I wanted.
That is of course me playing, making adjustments, play for a few weeks, adjust further.

It took plugging in to get my custom classic to get it to play right.

Theres absolutely no comparison between Fender and Fender CustomShop. The Hotrod's were marketed as a guitar to bridge the gap between the two. Their brilliant guitars, I adore mine. But they don't really bridge the gap as it were. It's apparent that their not CustomShop.

So what you're saying is forget about the EJ Strat and go for the Wildwood 10? :)

What's special about the 10? Just that they have a 10" radius? The Deluxe 10 are not available anymore, not sure if it was a limited run. Any idea what the going price is these days for a mint one?

Anyone who knows strats, will always say choose a custom shop. The fine details matched with the highest grade materials sort make this a no brainer if you have the money...
