hey everyone, im looking for a certain stratocaster that i think now has been discontinued. i liked it because of the color. i believe the body was red, and the pickguard was a plain color but not white, maybe tan or something. i really liked this combination and im trying to find the guitar.
i know for sure it was an american. im pretty sure it was a fender stratocaster v neck. but the color combo im looking for has been discontinued.
pictures would really help

thanks in advance :)

The Candy Apple Red AD V Neck strat used to have a gold pickguard with parchment knobs and pickup covers. You can still get the strat, but it's trimmed in white now.

Until you replace the stock parchment pickguard with a beveled copper vinyl if you like the look of the older models!

Red strats are plentiful both current and non current and swapping pickguards is a relatively simple task. If a certain model color scheme is discontinued it will be fairly easy to replicate.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

It will be either Candy Apple Red or Chrome Red  I'd bet on the chrome if it had a white guard

Chrome Red replaced Crimson Red in 2002. It was dropped from the US Deluxe colour chart in late 2003.
