That's me too,and dang it's fun buying guitars and amps and nobody can say a thing about it,and I plan to keep it that way.
I'm too old a dog to get remarried.

Well I figured out long ago that if you can't stop thinking about things like that, then go ahead and buy it

All my happiest purchases happened this way. Days, weeks, months of agony. "I don't need it, I can't justify it - but I WANT it!"

When you finally drag that momma home it'll be the best thing you ever did. Love that bound fingerboard...! 8)

So I was at GC yesterday picking up my replacement DRRI, my buddy who works there takes the amp to the back for me to test and make sure I'm happy with it, he goes to get me a guitar and goes here's the guitar you've been asking about... hands me a beautiful Dakota Red EJ Strat with rosewood and that nice binding! I heard lots of great things about it but this was the first time I played one. That neck, the tone, it's something else! It's also light... I want!!

I don't need another guitar, or a Strat, already have 2, just got a AM. Dlx Ash that I really like... help a brother out, what should I do?? Those of you who own an EJ Strat, how do you like it compare to your other Strats if you have any? Will I get bored of it in the future or will it become my #1?

Are you willing to give one up for the other? Keep the focus at this. An instrument is just that. Its an instrument, a tool. It serves a purpose. You need it to think about what purpose will it serve if you had it. And if you're going to set aside other instruments, will you really need them? Maybe I'm just the voice of "Beano", the anti-G.A.S.!

Hello Mr. Beano :) I wish they made some anti-GAS pills... I think rehab is what some of us, myself included, really need!

To me a guitar is not just a simple tool, the fact that it brings so much joy and makes one forget about everyday's troubles and worries makes it priceless. What a way to justify this purchase...

I am trying to put it in terms of what it is from a logical point of view. However, if I follow my instincts, I'd just keep adding to the collection!!!! LOL!

Go back to the store and take the attitude that the price tag is just the opening offer to buy....then work the price to what you can live with.

GC has a coupon on there web sight where if you trade a guitar up, they will give you 15% off the price.

So work the deal and at the last minute, spring that on line coupon on them,

But if it is such a prefect guitar, will you ever be happy with another one?

kinda late for that, got the guitar today... got a great deal but what's more important is that I got the guitar I wanted!
