Thats a Fender Stratocaster Squier series. Every bit a Fender, cept the tuners, bridge and tronics, which are leftover Squier parts (my presumption). Made in the Ensenada plant long after Squier had departed for the far east (1992). Body and neck carved in Corona, the Ensenada plant didn't start carving timber till 2003. The body and neck are bigger than all except the JV Squier's, their full strat sized.
Bought mine new for £200, they sell for between £150 and £250 in the UK now. US prices are at around $150.

Yes definitely a Fender Squier series. Not a Squier, theres a world of difference should you go get a 96 Squier and measusre the two. Reasons explained in my previous post, which you seem to have speed read. :lol:

How do I know all this you ask?

Well I've owned a 95 Squier series for 15 years now.

Some had Squier Series on the headstock some didnt. Your's has been heavily modified, so you're likely down to a American body and neck with parts, (did you read my previous post at all?) It's every bit a Fender as I said in the previous post. Don't let that fact put you off. Mine still gets more amp time than My Customshop, Vintage Hotrod or Anni Deluxe. You'll let a damn fine guitar escape you by doing so.

Actually not all the way true. Squier Bullets and Affinities are the only smaller Squier bodies, Standards, Deluxes, VMs, CVs, Pro-tones, SQ series, A series, E series etc all have full size bodies. Even some Bullets and Affinities have full size bodies, my 94 Bullet does. Some of the MIM Squiers are full size as well.

What about the scratchplate? Or input jack position if you please Yogi. Would be a great comparison.

What about them? Fender Scratch plates drop right into most Squiers even the thin body ones. Im not sure I get what you are asking.

hey NIKININJA about these Fender stratocaster squier series , since they are squier parts ( hardware ) on a full size stratocaster neck and bodies ...

do you know if the Tuning pegs are direct fitted replacmeent if i buy american keys or i need to drilled because its squier holes .. same for bridge ... can i put an american bridge as a replacmeent or its built as the squier sizing (spacing ) .

sorry english is bad ... but if i were to update the hardware .. would fender parts fitted wherever it was squier ( bridge , tuners , pots , switch ??? ) or it would be a hell of a job to do so .

thank you .

Hope youll read this i didnt want to start another topic .

an American Vintage spaced 6-point bridge won't fit without filling the old holes and drilling new ones. MIM Standards and most Squiers share the same 2 1/16" spacing, where as the vintage spaced American 6-point is a wider 2 7/32".

To replace the tuners you may or may not have to widen out the Tuner holes, even so its not so hard. Get a dremel or similar tool and you can handle most of that stuff easily.

MN = MIM from 1990-1999
MZ = MIM from 2000

if it is a Fender Squire series,
there will be a small Squire logo on the headstock
