which one would you want?
this is not a judgement on looks,
but feel, tone, and playability

Every Road Worn I have played at Guitar Center has a 7.25 radius neck, and the highway One necks are 9.5. I always prefer a higher radius neck for string bends and comfort.

Btw, you can easily relic a highway one to look like a road worn guitar. There are tons of youtube vids teaching you how. I have done it and it is a blast. I just relic-ed a new made in mexico standard strat and LOVE IT!

I always tell people... pick the neck that you like most, you can change everything else.

Highway 1 without a doubt. You get more for less money. Play it for years and it will be a real road worn guitar, not one of the fake ones that looks like every other road worn.

Aestetics aside, I vote for the RW. Last summer when I was looking for a backup guitar, I played them side by side. I found RW's to be more comfortable, I kind of like 7.25 rounded necks. Tex-mex pickups in the RW sounded better to my ears. Fake damage is what put me off.

To make the long story short at the end just regular 09 MIM standard stole the show and followed me home.

Here is a link to a youtube where a guy pretty thoroughly explains how he does it. This is the first video in his series, there are like 8 or so. If you want to find a bunch of videos search "relic a guitar" on youtube. Tons of videos and good tips.

Not a big fan of the Highway ones. The Jumbo frets and neck are just not that comfortable to me. The Road Worns I have played on the other hand have been really nice. The radius is smaller, but the 6105 frets make up for it in my opinion.

The whole point of the Highway is to allow you the player to wear out the finish naturally, the Road worn takes it a step further and gives the guitar a complete junk looking status. I'd take the Highway based upon its American made and the Road Worn is MIM.
