boss makes both a great OD and chorus.
been using boss for 20 yrs w/o 1 complaint.
i am however looking into a fulltone OCD v3.
those things are very sweet.

I use the Fulltone Fat Boost 3 (for that little extra push over the cliff) and the Voodoo Labs Analog Chorus. Love them both :D

I got my FB3 at a GC. But yes, some locations have better selections than others and some don't even carry them at all. I don't know where you live so its really hard to direct you to the right location.

TC Electronics used to make a great mono chorus pedal but it seems they only make stereo chorus pedals now. Not sure if you need stereo. Chorus is similar to overdrive in the respect that there are some good ones and some not so good ones. Some seem to add plenty pf shimmer but don't really fatten up the tone much. Others introduce small amounts of dirt and overtones. It's another case of try a few out and choose the one that's right for your needs.

The Chorus pedal I've been using lately is my trusty old BOSS Digital Dimension C. It's a very subtle effect which they no longer make. It doesn't have that in-and-out-of-phase swirling effect and it doesn't introduce any dirt or overtones it just fattens things up ever so slightly.

Boss BD-2 Blues Driver with Keeley mod is best I've heard.

For chorus, check out the Hardwire (a sub of Digitech). Their pedal is pretty cheap, has a bunch of different tones you can get from it, and it's TRUE BYPASS!

I guess it depends on what type of overdrive you are looking to get.

For a strat and thinking more to bluesy type tones, a VooDoo labs sparkle drive for the boost and I suggest you search e-bay for a Japanese made Boss CE-2.
(Unless you can afford the Boss CE-1)
