How much would a 1997-2000 '57 reissue CIJ cost nowadays?

I just drive to my local shop and can get a new japanese fender. Living Japan has it's perks. depending on what you want the run between 54500 to 113450 yen. yen to us dollar is about 85 yen to 1 dollar right now.

the vacuum store is a lot like the guitar store. but they do not attract the same clientele as the guitar store, cause if they did, the vacuum store would be loaded with a bunch of broke guys who just wanted to run the new vacuums.

So a good Crafted in Japan can be as much as $1322? WOW and as little as $635.00?? Wonder what they have that is around $1300? Must be the Extrad Custom Shop models?

I think the Richie Kotzen models are pretty up there, pricewise. I'd like to be able to play one and found a couple places that would order one, but then I would be obligated to it.

A buddy of mine picked up a lovely CIJ Strat a couple of months ago for an unbelieveably low price but he bought it in Tokyo. There is an ex pat US citizen in Tokyo who sells CIJ Fenders as well as other top shelf copy brands but I have misplaced his website. This guys prices are very reasonable and he fully guarantees his guitars, another buddy of mine bought an Orville by Gibson from him and even though it was made in the 90s it was flawless and was delivered in about 10 days. I'll try to dig up his website for you as he has some really impressive stuff even CIJ rosewood Teles.

I got in touch with my buddy and the site he got the Orville from is
http://somara.com/guitars/main.php this guy sells only top shelf CIJ guitars so you should find what you're looking for there.
