Any rhyme or reason.....numbers dont make sense to me

A long time ago this was very true.

Over the years Fender has tried to have a better numbering system.

Go to the "Support" section on the webpage. Look under product dating.

To a certain degree the best you can do is find out what year a guitar was made.

When a factory guitar is made the guy building it doesn't pay attention to what neck he grabbing. It grabs a neck and puts it on a guitar.
