Well, too me of all the guitars he played, because his sound is so over processed they all sound the same for the most part.

The tonal sophistication and greater harmonic complexity of the single coils made the Road Worn 60s a clear winner for me. Great guitar in a fine collection.

I would agree that's true for all the guitars he played except for the Strat. The quack made it pretty clear it was a Strat and not just another set neck bucker gat.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Funny, I was thinking this sounds like my Boss, using distortion with delay (or echo) and maybe slight compression. Then the equipment at the end of the video clip rolled up!

Well, Les Pauls and Humbuckers in general have that sweet harmonic sound when using those types of effects. Sounds great and he plays really wells too. BUT, the Strat stands out from the rest. Not that it is better, as that is preference, but that quack was there, and came through loud and clear, and that gives that kind of distortion a nice honk and bite. Love that sound...... Strat wins in my book....

I would like to add that the guy can play, it's just I would like to here him play with just a guitar and Tube amp to get a more organic tone.

Would you believe that one was recorded with a much smaller amp, a Vox AC4TV tube amp with an 8" speaker. The first video was recorded with a Marshall Class 5 tube amp with 10" speaker.

The strat was the only one that sounded different, but not even by that much.

Yes I can believe it, when one uses so many pedals it can almost sterilize the tone to the point it become over processed and looses the organic tone a tube amp injects into the sound.
