I know that Roland has had a guitar synthesizer for many years. Does Fender have a guitar that would work well as a synthesizer?

Fender has produced a shortlived American Series version in 1995, followed by the modern-looking Custom Shop version of Ritchie Blackmore's workhorse (pictured) a couple of years later. Both guitars featured the same Roland GK-2A system as the Mexican Standard Series Stratocaster mentioned above.
