i just saw this today on musiciansfriend. it also has an option for a rosewood fretboard which the american special didn't have before, to my knowledge. i think my search for my next strat is over...

That's alot of strat for 800! I'll still take a nice used plus for half the price any day of the year!

Olympic White rocks!!! I have an Olympic White with Rosewood fretboard, tortise shell pickguard and gold hardware! Absolutely beautiful!

is it true that after a while the olympic white color turns a sort of yellow? and if so does anyone have any pics that demonstrate this?

It is true that they age over time. I'm not 100% sure about new poly finishes, but I think that it's very likely they will.
