I pulled the trigger today on a nice2004 MIM stratocaster. I'm not sure whether or not is Alder or Poplar. Anyone know what year they made the switch? Curious to know. Mine is black in color, manufactured in 2004. Whats the word?

I'm thinking that the use of poplar on the MIM's was discontinued in 2003 and that all Ensenada guitars and basses are back to alder. Don't hold me to it though -- I could be wrong.
