It's no longer listed on Fender's website.

Get them now before they're all gone!

I know the Hot Rod '57s had the DiMarzio rail-type bridge pickup but didn't they also have SCN pickups in the neck and middle position?

Now that the revised American Deluxes are out maybe Fender is going to update the Hot Rod '57s with the N3 pickups so they don't have to continue stocking the SCNs just for one model that appears to be a solid niche seller (but not a huge seller).

I called my dealer who said they could order me one. I'll be doing just that tomorrow. So I guess they're still around

Waiting on mine since 4/3/10; Hope they don't change the pickup specs.

Seems like you can find or order them, but it's definitely off of the product list. Looks like they're trying to get rid of inventory on it.

It appears fender is revamping a lot of their lineup. A few times I've been on and almost nothing was there. With all the delays in new gear orders, its a sure bet they are redoing a lot of their guitars. I'd expect more compound radius guitars as well as the Texas Special to just be the new "standard" pickup since its favored so much.

Well I'd sure like to know for sure. Since April 3rd, Guitar Center has screwed up my order twice during to their internal ineffectiveness and inefficiencies, and I have suffered two cancellations. Now I'm seriously questioning re-ordering through them, moving on to another vendor, or just waiting on the LTD Buddy Guy guitar ME talks about in passing,in response to a comment I made in the Crossroads 2010 thread on his Forum.

Will tread water on that. Maybe I should have TK do that guitar with a VHR neck carve because the neck on the BG's are the standard soft-V. This'd be like a BK Whopper...Having it my way. The rest of the story should be at your window right now.

This is totally about internal operations at GC online. It started off in the store intact. They broke it. They fixed it, with difficulty. They broke it again. The need to fix it again, and the guy who said he would, and would be where he was supposed to be this morning, so I could give him the info he needed, wasn't there when I called, and I don't have all day to chase people who aren't a.) responsible enough be where they say they are going to be, or b.) look for me when they are not. To this hour, I have not heard from them and they have all my vital statistics in their computers including an inventory of the many several thousands of dollars I've spent there in the past five years. :? So why should I waste my time with an outfit whose operations and reputation.are going down the tubes when I have The Music Zoo about 45 minutes away. Sometimes what looks like a great deal isn't, and this is the one. :?
