Post subject: Thoughts on the new FSR Standard strat flake finishes

I have to say, I'm getting some serious GAS for the Sunfire Orange finish. Granted, it's kinda like a 70's bowling ball but I really kinda like it. I've been looking for a standard strat body, HSS configuration, to match with a large headstock, vintage tint, maple/rosewoodboard Warmoth neck... the orange finish combined with the rosewood neck is talking to me. Not sure how limited the run of Sunfire Orange flake Strats is, but I'd love to have one.... maple neck, though, and I'd strongly consider changing it over to SSS...

I was so close to buying both, AMS and their payment plans just make it so easy to blow money on any kind of instrument

Hi all.

Well, I got to see one in person, and they are beautiful.

I picked it up and played to like 30 seconds, nice large c type neck, I asked the sale guy how much, he said 499.99 with a gig bag.

I said wrap it up, I'll take it.

I thought for sure it would have been twice that.

Thanks, it was only on the floor for less then a hour before I walked in. They were a bit bummed that they didn't get time to play with it first, and they don't think they will get a second one, but there trying too.
