Squier Stratocaster - Unusual Serial

Hi, I posted this in the Squier sub-forum and it was suggested I post here to gain more attention so here goes.

I'm looking for some help regarding a Squier Strat I was given last year.

The headstock says it is Korean made but the serial number reads:

M2754509

I'm looking to find out this guitars date of production and any other information anyone may know about it.
