Well, it's not Youtube but here's a link to our old Soundclick site...

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default ... tent=music

The leads on "Rowan", "Tomorrow Will Never Die", "Feeling So Blue" and "Disenchanted Dream" were all done on my '96 MIM Standard. Please note that these were all older demos...most from about 8 years ago and most were recorded back when I was still learning this whole studio/recording thing...all of them were done in my basement. Obviously they've never been mastered, so the quality isn't as good as it should be. Also, those are of course all originals written by either my wife or myself.

For reference sake, the acoustic parts were done mostly on my Seagull S6, although my my Ovation CC257 may have snuck in there once or twice (it's been a while...can't remember for sure). With the possible exception of "To Kill a Tree" (this was the full old band, recorded by an actual engineer...I was just on rhythm guitar on that tune) all instruments were done by myself and virtually all of the vocals were done by my wife. Also, except for "To Kill a Tree", which was recorded thru my Lab L5, just about all of that was recorded thru a Digitech RP-50 straight in to the mixer...no amp on most of those.

Just so as ya'll have a visual to go with the music, here's a shot of "Ol' Blue", my '96 MIM (with my Pearl drum kit just visible in the background)...

Peace,
Jim

Looks like kinda cool HHH setup with Seymour Duncan Hot Rails. This is exactly the same pickup layout Dave Murray uses on many of his guitars.

For some reason I developed the habit of using my index finger nail like a pick, so I will hold my fingers like I am using a pick, and actually play with just my fingernail.

High strangeness indeed. I will record a longer video tonight.

That one's not so strange, Bernard Edwards did the same thing on bass to add some punch to his sound, according to a Nile Rogers interview.

Nice Nevin! All it's missing is a nice solo to go with that  Sounds very Aerosmith like, maybe some ZZ...

Here's an attempt to play Hideaway

Sadly if you are outside of the states Vevo won't allow anyone to view your clip.
Can you or someone else post it somewhere else or up it to rapidshare or something?

Nice playing guys, sounds great!

Here's a real quick one using a backing track that has the lead guitar removed. Playing my modded Starcaster and Line 6 Floor Pod.
The guitars in this classic track are actually played by Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter although they were never credited on the album. Perry and Whitford weren't up to it and couldn't get the song good enough for the record producer..so he called in the two most badass guitarists ever to walk this planet...as well as the two most underrated.

myspace.com/jayjayyew. The lead tone is the strat on 9 of the 10 songs.

Me ...screwing around. On one of my 8 Highway One Strats. This one has 2 Dimarzio Area 58's and at the time of the recording...a DiMarzio Virtual P.A.F.
It has since been changed to a DiMarzio 36th Anniv. P.A.F.

FHere are two videos of a friend from Czech Republic and myself with a Customized Strat Plus spoofing a few songs. The last part of Victory is Won is kind of funny. That is the top video. The second one is a Gilmore spoof of [i]Another Brick in the Wall[/i

I guess I am not destined to post any recordings at this time. I am going to buy a USB interface next week and see if I can't get a recording up as soon as I can.

This posting music stuff is a lot harder than I thought. Too many obsticles in the road. That's ok, I recorded to my Iphone and was trying to use it, and the recording quality really sucked.

There has been picture forums showing everyone our pride and joy, so why not let people hear them, and it gives us a chance to listen to just how versatile the Strat is with all our different styles.

This is the video on Youtube of me messing about on my 2003 MIM Fender Stratocaster Satin Finish Candy Apple Red, before I put the Seymour Duncan Hotrail in the bridge.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_CNQf7nWrs

So people lets hear your Strats, through sound clips or videos.

I have been wanting to post something for a while, however, my should and arm was injured in an accident. It is slowly getting better and I want to get some more dexterity back before I post something.

You have some great licks, keep it up. I am not a lead player and do not posess the knack for the blinding fast leads. Keep up the good work. Love to see something serious if that was just a distortion test. (lol)

Thanks a lot. I'll never stop playing. Im thinking about putting a few covers up soon, but I dunno what Maiden song to do though, that's my biggest dilema, I might do a few, Montsegur will probably be put up first though. lol

A good thing is to add an option which allows the YouTube videos to be automatically embedded.

Showing our Strats in action sounds pretty nice. But it's not enough. We should also show any Fender guitar, bass and amp!

We should put that Thread in the All Things Fender section.

Here is my cover of Iron Maiden Montsegur after I installed the Hotrail in the bridge, no solo though.
