A friend was given a Strat as a gift back in 1976. She had a choice of several models, including a special Bicentennial design...she is now kicking herself that she didn't choose that one. Does anyone have one? If so, can you post a picture for her? Or if there is a pic somewhere on the web...Google let me down so far... Thanks!

Considering that Fender isn't even 100 years old yet...I think a bicentennial (200 years) is far out of the question.

I know sarcasm gets lost in print, but I believe that would have been to commemorate the USA's Bicentennial in 1976.

Hey, I was 14 that year and really wasn't into playing yet, but I sure don't remember any "Bicentennial" Strats that year or even turning up over the next few years when I first became an active player.
