Saw this purple one on craigslist near me. Price seems pretty good too $600 for '91 USA standard!! I'm not crazy about the color, but thought it was appropriate to this thread. Not my guitar, so don't give me any crap about trying to sell here. I copied the photos to my account so I could re-size them, they were huge. Guitar is not hard to search for if someone were interested.

I have a wallpaper from Fender of Satin Finish American Standards. I think they look really cool. If only Fender made them (or make them again).

I don't think the fashion colors sell very well, or else they would make more of them...

I would be happier if Fender comes up with new sunburst, bowling ball and paisley graphic finishes.

Yah, I really wish they still had that metallic purple. I would definitely have gotten that on my Jazz bass instead of the metallic gray.
My very own Pimp bass.

I have a purple strat. I would post a pic, but pictures don't describe its color. At least not my pictures. Metallic purple is what they called it.

Nothin beats the following vintage colors:
Daphne Blue
Fiesta Red
Seafoam Green

What about tiedye finishes or muticoloured swirl finishes to totally mix it up, they would make amazing Strats.

I recon that would only get done as a limited edition if it got done at all though.

How about some different burst finishes. Gibson has a few different options. Silverburst looks really cool. Also, maybe some flame or quilted maple veneers? That will shake some heads!

seems the colour range isnt as cool as it were in the '90s. Lately Ive seen colours been axed from a line of models to the point where they just arent that interesting anymore.

eg: Am. Deluxe, AVRI, '60s classic series...
