Yeah I've seen that one on there before, guess it didn't sell, not surprising at that price. I'm not really digging the finish on it, don't like the way the edges are done.

I owned an '87 Strat plus and I loved it. Great guitar, but they really aren't gaining any value in the market. I can't see spending 2K on a '93.

I'm gonna have to agree with the color being just ok. Here's a pic of mine:

Not the greatest pic quality. My camera isn't that great. But you can still see that the edges are darker blue metallic. Looks like the whole paint job is darker to me. I've always loved the color of this guitar.

It's a Blueburst Strat Plus.

The guitar you've found on eBay has the deluxe-type bridge with a push-in tremolo bar. It also has a maple neck and the LSR roller nut, which replaced the older Wilkinson-style nut in 1993.

In fact, you've the same guitar, except it has a rosewood neck instead of maple.

Man, that is a fine blueburst specimen. $2000 err... maybe in NZ dollars.

But- how many times do you see one in that condition- I mean, that is a very nice burst and the grain is fantastic. Nice neck too...

$2k is a good price if you intend on keeping it for the next 15-20 yrs

Ya, Transparent Blue Burst or some people call it Tranparent Blue Pearl Dust. The color is not rare. My player guitar is that color and I have owned a couple this color. One sees them on ePay from time to time. I emailed this owner but no reply. Way over priced. I have see some really nice Ultras got for less, like $400 to $700 less! Here is a body I had on my bench a while back:

Here is a pict of my player Strat. I kind of abuse this a little. The picts are a little dark but you can see the grain through the blue. I have seen quite a number of variations on these just like the Crimson Burst Plus...

Xhefri, that color looks a lot more like mine. Nice clearer picture you have there. I could swear when I bought it (bought it new in '91) it was described as Blue Frost. It has the metallic going through the grain areas as well. Have you ever heard that description before?

Probably doesn't matter, just wondering.

It is a very nice and clean guitar, but at the price he wants......

He will be retaining ownership.

Maybe they call that Blue Frost. Sometimes I think they just modify a color and make up some fancy name!!! I have head Blue Burst; Transparent Blue Pearl Dust; and now Blue Frost!!!

I was just at Guitar Center( ) yesterday, and they had a 1989 Strat Plus in Olympic White for $800. I was going to buy it but I didn't have any money. :x I'm just hoping no one's going to buy it before I go back. :?

Olympic White or Vintage White? People often get those two confused. But man, Vintage White, that has aged to a creamy color with a Maple neck, that is one nice look. This is really vintage white:
Image Love that color. Olympic White is real kind of a off white/brown. Just trying to remember if I ever saw a Plus in that color:
