I measured my heel width on my current neck and it measures at 2-1/8" i want to buy an Allparts neck that has a heel width of 2-3/16". Im thinking i already know the answer to this...that im going to have to modify the pocket...but i just wanted to know if anyone has done this and has any good recommendations and also if anyone has had good experience with Allparts necks?

First of all, realize that I have NEVER changed a neck on a guitar.. but my first question would be how tight does your neck fit now? if it's tight my second thought would be to try to shave the base of the neck that fits into the body instead of taking a chance on friggin up my good looking guitar. There are woodworking tools that will do this.. good luck!
