Man, that's one sweet collection there Waycool! I like your ashtray on the tele, i have an 09' MIM tele, and iv'e read that the ashtrays bought today, won't fit newer teles, only vintage. I also popped that question into our forum, and got confirmation that they indeed do not fit later models!

I was wondering, does yours hum very loud

I notice a pretty good hiss/hum starting at around 3.5-4 on the clean channel volume knob - one of the reasons I put a lower gain tube in is to lessen this noise - I can get a bit more of clean headroom. It is not unbearable however, and I don't notice it when playing. (I only have it inside practice, so volume stays pretty low).

I also notice another different hum depending on the guitar, when not touching the guitar's (or amps) metal...the Gretsch is much worse then the Strat and Gibson; but all are relative depending on the lights I have on, where I am standing, or the guitar sitting, etc.

You might try plugging it in other rooms in the house.

Unfortunately my wife insisted on dimmers everywhere in the house!

Thanks - it's a 6118t-LTV Anniversary Model...TV Jones Classics, nitro lacquer, Ebony fret board. Kind of grew on me after passing it by a few times in the past. (last time I bought an Am Standard). I tried a Silver Sparkle Jet but didn't dig the color - the sound though - whew, so I went with this beaut instead. Turns out the Japan/Terada build is really high quality, and it/s an '08 so it has the "125th" emblem on it...I like it!

On the Delta Blues 'amp vs hum' issue, I did notice last night the amp is actually pretty darn quiet when unplugged from a guitar - it is the axes/cable that suck in the noise. I swapped out the dimmer in the room to a normal switch so its a bit better, but it is still there to various degrees.

I own the ENTIRE color spectrum of the Fender Highway One Stratocaster HSS series.......I really consider them ALL to be my No. 1 !!!
I reallly couldn't pick JUST ONE!!
(ALL pickups and tuners have been replaced to protect the innocent!)

Heck....I even got a F.S.R Highway One HSS that I adore!
It's got a painted LARGE headstock with spaghetti logo!
