I think that is a really cool guitar myself... if you want to sell it I'd be interested. Just look at what Jimmy Page did with a Sears Silvertone and the Danelectro!!!!!

I have a few I don't play so much anymore, but I just can't bring myself to sell one. I never suffered buyer's remorse when adding gear to my collection, but I've had regrets after I've sold things . . . like my straight from the Fullerton factory '71 Fender Mustang in three tone sunburst with the rectangular case . . . but that's another long, sad story.

Unfortunately, I know exactly where you're coming from.

Hey guys I am new here but not new to guitar. I just read the opening post in this thread and I have to say that is an obsession more then anything! There is no need really to have that many guitars. Unless your a collector! Then they become pieces of artwork , but if they are just bought just for the sake of having it then ya it is an obsession.

Anyway I am currently looking at buying my last guitar and it will be a Fender Strat HSS. I have 3 guitars already that all have different purposes and I want the Strat to fill the void I have in my musical genre.

My guitars include:
1986 BC Rich Assassin ST-III
2001 Dean Evo Special
2007 Ibanez RGR320EX

I've got 7--but with the exception of one of them--sort of--they're all different types and have something unique to the sound compared with the others (Classical, 12 string, bass, humbuckers, single coils, and series/parallel for starters--other differences are there too.)

I'm looking to get a resonator as well--that's also different than what I have. And after that--a semi hollow body, or a Strat.

Guitars are life man, you can never have too many guitars. You should have 10 electric, 10 Acoustic, and 5 bass guitars at minimum.

I've got 2 Strats (pre-upgrade Hwy1, Honey Blonde with a Tortise Shell Pickgaurd and Maple neck and a '65 Custom Shop Closet Classic, 3 tone sunburst white pickgaurd and Rosewood Neck) and an vintage Yamaha Acoustic in a wonderful dark brown kind of burst finish with all Ivory Inlays. It was my fathers and since he has passed I am the proud owner of this beautiful instruement and will pass this on to my children one day along with all the others I have collected until my time is up.

I do have plans in the near future to get another strat and a telecaster. But i gotta save for those, since I got the Custom Shop I have been blown away by it and think that is where my purchases will go, Strat or Tele.

Check out my latest tune at AcidPlanet.com called "Anesthesized"... It has crickets in the intro. Went to #1 experimental for about a week... unfortunately no strats on the track though. Opps - sorry, off topic.

I have 5 cats....on that note, here's why you can't have too many guitars:

You never find Strat Hair on your favorite Black Pants
You don't need a Supply of Strat Food
You never have to clean the Strat Box
You never discover that your Mamma Strat is going to have Strittens

I don't know--that sure would go a long way to helping soothe GAS. :D

I've only got one guitar right now, I'm saving up for a VG though. (Maybe I'll commit heresy and get an SG though.)

Dear Lord.

I'm up to 6 guitars now. Call it blasphemy, but I now own a Gibson Les Paul which is a fine counterpoint to my 2 Fender Strats.

That should be...almost enough!!!

(I still want a tricked out Squier!)

Hahahaha.....but before that? Maybe a good speaker cabinet. Or, what the heck....a 50 watt tube amp head to go with it...
