Vintage guitars are built to vintage spec, which will vary depending on which year of vintage you are referring to and the Deluxe is built to the deluxe spec, which is the modern 'state of the art' Strat you might say.

One is modeled after a 1957 strat with a Maple V neck and single ply guard, while the other is modeled after a 1962 strat with Rosewood C neck and 3-ply guard.

The '57 vintage would be built to the same spec as a Stratocaster built in 1957 and the '62 to the same spec as a 1962 guitar.

This will include body contours, colours, woods, hardware, electronics etc. Basically an exact 'copy' of a guitar from their respective vintage year.

The '57 has 1957 Strat specs, such as a V-shaped maple neck and fretdboard, while the '62 has 1962 specs like C-shaped maple necks with rosewood fretboards. The colors also vary.

Well the V-shape will seem to have a tip like a V and the C-shape will be rounded like a C

Deluxe Vintage Player '57 and '62 Strats are a nice blend of the two aforementioned series. These Factory Special Runs were made in 2005.

Essentially an American Vintage Stratocaster with Samarium Cobalt Noiseless pickups, S-1 switching system and 22 medium-jumbo frets.

They were also '52, '62 and '67 Telecasters available, each with different appointments. The Deluxe Vintage Player '52 Tele, for example, sported a comfortable Strat-style tummy cut and Schaller staggered locking machines, while the '62 and '67 employed double bound slab alder bodies and Kluson machineheads. All three models featured two SCN Tele pickups with an S-1 switch and American Vintage hardware.
