like many other los lonely boys and henry garza fans i want to see a henry garza signature strat released. henry is awesome at customizing his own guitars.

his main guitar is a mexican standard strat body (sunburst)
60's style neck
and texas special pickups

i want to use this post to let the people at fender guitars and possibly the fender custom shop know that los lonely boys and henry garza fans want to see his guitar released. henry's customization is always awesome but with the fender custom shop they can make something truly amazing.

if you want to see this happen post your support!!!!

I was under the impression that somebody who gets a signature guitar release had been around longer. He's pretty good, but has he made that big of an impression on the guitar world to warrant his guitar be released?

In MY opinion there are no current guitar players that deserve a signature guitar. And some of the signature that are already out there were not earned either.

Clapton and Gilmour already have signature guitars and both deserve them.

I misunderstood. I agree. I think that sombody should only get a signature guitar if they have dramatically affected the guitar world. Otherwise doing it makes it look like some kind of bogus money venture designed to bilk $$$ from superfans.

It is not a matter of "deserving." Signature guitars aren't Lifetime Achievement Awards, and even if they were the selection wouldn't line up with any one player's idea of who is deserving of such an award, since we all admire different people. They are simply a recognition that association with the celebrity in question might sell some guitars.

I also believe that the process of creating a signature guitar is usually initiated by the artist. Perhaps someone at Fender will correct me if I'm wrong.

i think that garza has made a very large impression to those who listen to him. too many guitarists have signature guitars that have not been around very long. a musicians impact on music is too hard to measure. all i know is that he has a very unique style and is a DEVOUT stratocaster fan. s

the tone is stevie ray vaughan and the phrasing is carlos santana. how awesome is he.

Well said.

I'm a fan, and would consider buying a Garza Sig Strat.

I think the question really comes down to money. Can Fender make a good buck by creating a special run of guitars geared towards a specific fan base? In manufacturing, stopping a line to retool and run a limited number of product can be very expensive.

While I love Garza's guitar playing, I'm not sure there's wide enough appeal for Fender to make that kind of investment.

Signature guitars have much more to do with what will sell than who can play, if Fender though they could see thousands we would have a "Chet Feathers" model next month.
