Just a bit more info for you - all American Series and American Deluxe Strats produced during the calendar year 2004 had that "50th Anniversary of the Stratocaster" logo engraved on the neck plate. There were also special "50th Anniversary" models of each as well - Nevin1985 posted some photos of the "50th Anniversary American Deluxe" special model. A lot of "regular" American Standards and American Deluxes get sold as "50th Anniversary" models because of the neck plate.

Hope that helps; unfortunately Fender doesn't keep archives of specs on older models on-line. Since the Am Dlx changed to a new version earlier this year only the specs for the new version are on the website. That Stratcollector article is a good resource on the 2004-2009 models (or "American Deluxe version 2" as I like to call them).

all i know is this thing plays like a dream.
i dont know that ive ever had a better feeling guitar in my hand.
these noiseless pickups blew me away.
put it to you this way, 16 yrs ago i hung it all up.
havent touched any of my gear since except to vacume
under them. see, touching, then tasting this guitar
turned things around in a very strange way for me.

It does look like my '04 Am. Deluxe in candy tangerine, but with non-stock pickguard. Here's mine (all stock).
