It seems I shall be posting in the Strat forum a lot more very soon!

My friend has an 05 MIM Standard Strat, black with white guard, maple and asked if I wanted to buy it. I said 'how much?' and he says £150!!!!

It may seem like robbery but I cant wait. The trem is inactive but I can sort that quick enough and apart from that its in great condition.

Can't pay him til a couple of weeks after Download festival but I cant wait to enter the Strat world!

Cheers!

CC

I'm not sure which currency that figure is in (forgive my american ignorance) but I just googled the conversion to dollars which comes out to $183. What kind of condition is the guitar in? I'm sure it's in pretty good shape, but if it's not you may want to consider just buying a new MIM strat...I paid $399 for mine which was brand new (this was years ago when the economy was better though, I think the list price is $499 now?).

Anyway enough nitpicking, congrats on the find!

Its Great British Pounds Sterling and £150 is great, the guitar is untouched and never played and he is an old friend so its all good!

Looking forward to something different after having went through several Tele's over the years and it will fill the time til I get my AV 52 RI at the end of the year.

Cheers guys,

CC

If CC keeps drinkin' the ale, he'll appreciate that feature more and more once he gets a little older!

@Andybighair: I think I will always be a Tele fan but I'm really looking forward to something different. Already thinking of what pick-ups to throw in there. Cant wait mate.

@Twelvebar:  The belly is already coming on with the amount I put away coupled with my kebabs and Domino fetish.

Cheers guys!
