I'm writing this to help all those people out there who ask questions on the forum concerning Fender Serial Numbers, set up information, and items like it.

It you look at the top of the Fender web site you will find a link for, "Support." Look through the items listed. You will find all sorts of technical info on Fender instrument dating, amp info, guitar set up info, technical manuals for instrument set ups, wiring diagrams, color charts and much, much more.

I hope this helps.

But if people start using the "Support" tools here, I'll miss all of these posts, "I have a red Fedner Startocastor serial number 123456. Can you tell me if it's a real Fender, how old it is, how to make it stop buzzing, how to adjust intonation, how to put a string in the tuner slot, what pickups are in it, and what kind of bridge is on this geetar?"

But we can still answer those biting questions like... "What gauge pick should I use for heavy metal or what strings are best to sound like Jimi?"
