HNGD to me.

Picked up a MIM Satin Strat today with a little Marshall MG15DFX. I've never seen a guitar with such a crazy out of whack setup.

Saddles were all at maximum height. The bridge was floating at max and stayed that way even when I took the strings off. The bridge screws were all tightened to the max holding the back end up in the air. There was hardly any neck relief.

So I get the action, intonation, neck relief sorted, and bridge decked the way I like it and now I start getting a lot of buzzing all over the fretboard. I look at the neck and it is obviously shimmed towards the heel. I loosen her up and a shim consisting of 2 pieces of business card stock falls out. So I re-tighten the neck, have to readjust the action, intonation and now it is pretty close to good. I don't usually worry buying used gear because I do my own setups but this thing was a pain. Paid $275 for the guitar, amp, a stand, and a cheapo Marshall gig-bag.

By the way, what a great sounding fun little amp!! I'm loving this thing.

Anyway here are the pics:
