Hi i have been giving a 1999-2000 MIM 70's Reissue Strat. Its wood tone and had a black pick guard. My friend gave it to me because it didn't work. The wiring was all funky. So i rewired it use this diagram.

http://support.fender.com/diagrams/stra ... 02APg2.pdf

It fixed it a little bit. But the Switch positions on the very top and very bottom don't work. I thought it was the switch so i went out and bought a replacement 5 way switch. But that didn't fix it. I don't know what the problem is, can someone please help me i just wanna get this bad boy back in operation.

Sounds to me like the guitar has two dead pickups -- neck and bridge.

Disconnect them both from the circuit and measure each's DC resistance with a DVM......you should see about 6.9 KΩ for the bridge and 6.6 KΩ for the neck.
