Better than the way Malnsteen treats his very collectible vintage Fenders. Watch this, so disgusting.... Tons of guitars just tossed in a pile! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEvRDC-mGmg&feature=related

I wonder if the mafia has anything to do with it.

Seriously though, if I ever get to go to Europe that's something I've gotta see. Forget about all the famous artwork, I'd rather see the guitars. :P

Malmsteens bad taste is clearly shown on that vid tossing up precious strats, contrast to the class and respect Flavio Camorani shows displaying his private collection.
Quite ironic that collection is in Europe. I wonder if there is a similar collection in the US.
If u could take any one of those guitars, which would u choose?

I feel the same way about vintage guitars in a museum as I do about vintage cars in a museum: Take them out and use them! That's what they were made for. Squirrling them away where no one sees them is a sin in my book.

I figure it's probably a good thing for some of them to be preserved in mint condition. And since they're on display anyone can enjoy them. They sort of counteract the atrocities of Yngwie Malsteen. Scalloping a vintage Strat?! Even if it gets played, to me that's a worse fate then being in a museum.

Thanks for that...much more common sense than Malsteen just tossing guitars in a pile, while slurping carelessly on a can of beer (or diet Coke?). I mean, really, I have owned some very collectable guitars, such as the early 1960 ES335TD below. I let people take them out of the case and play them, but rarely take them out of the house or guitar room/studio to risk any damage, mistreatment, or theft.
