I've just used CA glue to drop fill a ding. It's a poly guitar.
When it comes to wet sanding, what grade do you recommend starting at? And also? is there a special kind of sandpaper to be used? or can you use any wet and dry sand paper from a hardware shop?

I'd start with 600 and work up to 1500, and then buff it out with rubbing compound and then finishing glaze. And wet sanding paper will do.

+1

If you add a couple of drops of liquid dish detergent to the water during the wet sanding phase, the soap acts as a lubricant to "float" the sanding particles away from your work and help provide a more even sheen.

I have used Maquires X to polish out a repair like yours (CA, wet sand, and polish) and it worked beautifully.
