hey everyone,

bout to purchase one of those HSS FR mexis and was gonna swap the neck. what style of floyd nut is on them? R3 or R4? lol or maybe an R2?

There isnt much info as the FR site is down for maintenance. A stab in the dark guess it may be an R2 but dont hold me to that :)

I was thinking the same, since R2s have the holes in the neck (which I prefer) how do you like that Ping-made FR?

The R2 is 1 and 5/8 inch wide. measure carefully - most I have seen on Fenders have been 1 and 11/16 inch wide (R1).
