A person locally is selling a Black Fender American Standard with a '70s style large head stock. And, it has the custom shop logo on the back of the headstock. Is this really an American Standard or what?

Thanks

You may need to take it apart and look deeper.

I would get more information on it. Where was it purchased? Contact the Fender Custom Shop. I'm sure the catalog every guitar they have ever made. They could tell you what color, what specs, everything.

If it is a Custom shop guitar, than it would not be an American Standard. Also look up the specs on the Fender Web site. It doesn't seem ligit.
