Hi all, I am tossing up the coin on buying one of the following, which one would you buy?

2010 Ash Bodied Maple Neck Tobacco Burst American Deluxe Strat:
or
RI 1965 Blackface Super Reverb Amplifier:

Keeping in mind I already have a Fender HRD410, a Blues Junior and
a 2009 Alder Bodied Amber Maple Neck American Deluxe Strat.

Oh yes I have crumbled on the perloid inlays only because the Tobacco Burst is just too damn nice :D

Cheers.

Personally , I would go with the super reverb and sell the hr .Then you can buy another guitar. The super reverb will banish your hr to the closet anyways. Its not quite as powerful, but unless you play huge gigs, you wouldnt need the 60 watts anyways. That way you can still buy the guitar.JMHO.

That's completely up to you. If it were me, I would go for the 2010 American Deluxe. You already have 2 nice amps. I think you will really dig the new guitar. Plus I am a sucker for Burst guitars. Let us know what you decide and post pics when you can.

Thanks Budglo, Yeah I was thinking about that option too.

I haven't had the chance to roadtest the Super, Does it break up early or does it have plenty of headroom?

I had a 75 silverface and it had alot of headroom.Mind you we dont play at outdoor events ,but as you know , you are moving alot of air.You can tube it to give it maximum headroom or break up early too.Great tone and spectacular reverb.Maybe someday I will get another.JMHO.

It has a lot of headroom. In all likelihood it has far more than your DeVille. I find that with anything over about 40 watts achieving nice breakup sounds is a practical impossibility. Even my Hot Rod Deluxe (which I ditched for precisely this reason) was far too loud to crank up in a club. That being said, the Super is an excellent amplifier. Four tens sound amazing, and the thing is invincible.

I say amp, u already have a Deluxe.. I was kinda in the same boat, another amp or a guitar, so I got a Deluxe, but I really wanted a DRRI... I have a HRD410 and a Blues Deluxe, put both up on craigslist, once they're sold I'll get the amp!

I should've spent the money on the DRRI, I didnt really need another guitar... I was helpless, she tricked me into taking her home with me! so learn from my mistake :)
