I've heard of people putting their Strats through Marshalls, Peaveys, Fenders of course, Vox, etc. But I don't think I've heard of anyone plugging their Stratocaster into a Gretsch amp.

Has anyone ever done this? And does it sound good/bad/unique?

I have. The word, "generic" comes to mind.

It would be deemed VOODOO to do so anyway.

In early years of Fender, Gretsch and Fender had a fall out with each other when Gretsch threatened to take Fender to court in relation to the Broadcaster name on the tele which was already on the Gretsch Drum Kit.

That is why we have the No Caster soon to become the Telecaster.

Don't mix Fender and Gretsch it is bad luck, bad mojo..
