Well....as you may have seen in my last post(s), I'm a rabid collector of Highway One HSS's. I have the ENTIRE color spectrum of the series!
I was in Sam Ash in Bklyn. the other day and I saw this lovely hanging there on the hook....she's gently used. I got this baby for next to nothing!!!BUT.....here's the kicker....she's a HIGHWAY ONE!!!

Granted, I already have this color (Flat Black) BUT.... she's got a matching painted headstock WITH spaghetti logo!!

I think they call this a FSR. (Factory Special Run)
Long story short...I bought her!

Now...I must transform her like the others.....the process has begun...Fender/Schaller (the German ones) have been installed. Graph Tech saddles on the way.

I'm thinking Bare Knuckle Riff Raff humbucker for the bridge.....

Hi HWY1Strat: I believe the Betty Ford Clinic has a treatment program, if that would help? :D

Please come back and tell us how you get on with the BareKnuckles pickup. I love 'em, but they are expensive and no doubt not to everyone's taste...

Anyhow. Enjoy!

Cheers - C

Believe me...if THIS is the WORST addiction problem I'll have in this lifetime......I ain't doing too bad!!!

Hell....I could be blowing this money sitting on a barstool somewhere!!!
This indeed is a very healthy, fruitful addiction!

Well, I didn't mention how the Clinc's treatment plan works. Sure, they can help shrink that addiction if that's what you want. But they can also work with you to grow your addiction if you'd prefer!!

If I'm understanding right this is the first time you've duplicated a body color in your collection, yes? So now of course you need to add second examples of all the other colors too! And obviously you are going to need each color in a range of pickguard alternatives; one of each with single coils and one with a bridge humbucker; rosewood and maple options - etc etc etc. :D

So many guitars to own: so little time...

Cheers - C

Yes...that IS true.....BUT this one has the PAINTED headstock and spaghetti logo.....so by all manic logic....it's totallt different!!

And I must admit , the tortoise shell pickguard goes very nicely with the flat black color!

Unless they come out with more FSR's of my other colors....I believe I'm safe!

I truly believe that I have the ENTIRE spectrum of HSS's now!

What about that white one someone posted here the other day? I missed the rest of the conversation after you asked where he got it from.

I never found out about that one! Regardless...it was an SSS. I'd have to buy a whole new pickguard to convert it to HSS....blah...blah...blah....

This impulsive buy will hold me for a while................
