Definitely my Fender Deluxe VM. My Peavey Classic 30 sounds good but different with my Strat, it's more bassy or something. If I played jazz I'd use my Peavey. But I like the brighter, sparkly Fender sound for everything else.

I've always wondered what a Marshall would sound like with my Strat. Not the solid state MG series Marshalls, but a real Marshall stack. I've never played through a real Marshall stack even though I've wanted to for about four years now. Pitiful. :(

Someday very soon I'm going to start experimenting with playing through my Fender and my Peavey at the same time. I don't know where I'd ever use them like that, none of the gigs I play are really worth the effort to set up two amps and my Fender by itself it usually more than enough to pin people up against the back wall. But it would still be fun to hear what they sound like together. :D

My favorite amp is my '65 Twin Custom 15 Reissue. The bass response from the 15 inch speaker and a Strat are a wonderful combination.

The Egnater Rebel off to the right is also one of my go to amps. Actually, it's more of a carry around the house amp. I go to the Twin rather than lugging it around.

And last but certainly not least is my '65 Deluxe Reverb Reissue. It's perfectly matched with my '65 Strat. It's my niece's giraffe's favorite amp. :)

In the house, it's a Vox AC4TV.

Out of the house it's a Blues Junior (also modded with a Celestion V30).

Have a few other amps, including an Ashdown valve 40watt, but it's the 2 above that get my attention.

My little Bugera Vintage 5 is my go to... but the best amp I have ever played my Strat through was my buddy's Twin Reverb! I think he bought it in the early 1970's... not sure exactly but man, that is one sweet combo. The thing really has some "snot" too! His band practices in his cellar so it's all set with a keyboard and drum set and mic's... everything ready to go. I should get over there more often but I hate to bother him since he's still a working stiff and I'm retired. Gotta laugh... we did the exact same job at GE. I'd get up from my workstation at 7:00 AM and he'd sit down at the same desk to start his shift. I digress... we old folk have too damn many stories and get off topic very easily.

My Marshall Triple Super Lead TSL100 combo is to be found somewhere in this photo. That's the end of history, far as my amp sound is concerned...:

I am loving my Gdec30, I have a Crate Blue Voodoo 60 combo w/extra cab but the ease of solid state and the fun of the presets make me keep coming back for more.

In the foreground, a '65 (not a re-issue) Princeton Reverb with a CTS alnico 10 from a '67 Super Reverb.

At the left rear, a 2 x 10 Bandmaster combo conversion with a pair of CTS alnico 10s from a '74 Super Reverb.

In the center rear, a 2 x 12 Princeton piggyback converson with a pair of JBL K120s.

To the right rear, my "Spankmaster Reverb" -- a DRRI in a larger cab sized for a 15" JBL D130F.

The only thing I add to the mix is a Fulltone OCD which provides just the right amount of "grind".

Arjay
Very nice .

for financial reasons, i bought a peavey 212 valveking. it has surpassed my expectations on every level. some day, hopefully, i'll get my dream amp which is a twin reverb or music man. i'd jump over a stack of mesa's and marshalls to get one. sorry guys and gals, those 2 amps curl my toes......if you know what i mean.
nuthin against mesa or marshall, i've owned both. i just wish i would have bought the fender stuff when i had the cash. some day...........

My go to amps are my my Night Train & Mesa Boogie Nomad 55 with a ABCY switch.
The NT is set up for clean tone & Boggie is set some grain. Makes a nice mix.
Works well with either the Teles or Strats.

enz El diablo

If you would like the Marshall experience at half the cost you might wanna look at the Genz Benz El Diablo. Shell do that tone & give you change back. I dont find that the Genz is a two tone pony like the Marsh. The EQ is +/-15 db.

Check it out.

I don't have one, but a DRRI works best for me. I'm getting one for my birthday next month.

I see a DRRI in the future as well, lately I find it to be the best sounding amp with a Strat, that great clean Strat sound!! I was considering getting a Blues Jr to play at home but I just dont see the point, it will never sound like a DR...

I've been playing thru a Blues Deluxe since 95, recently got a DeVille 410, it doesn't get much play tho, just not for me... my go to amp for the past year or so has been a Mesa Boogie Lonestar Special, it was made for my Strat!

I so want that DRRI, time to sell some amps...
