Anyone have any info on this?

I've seen contemporary Tele's MIJ that looked like these in the 80's that had tremolos on them and black headstocks, that's the closest I've seen.

Well, I don't think anyone's going to be able to give you too much there...1 very small picture of a "strat-like guitar" and clearly the seller doesn't have any real info in the listing. That said, I don't []ithink[/i] it's a Contemporary...the MIJ Contemporaries usually had a locking nut with a System I/III bridge...I can't really tell what kind of bridge that thing has from that picture but it really doesn't look like it's got a locking nut. I'm also not seeing any holes thru the neck to indicate that a locking nut had been removed.

Honestly based on that one small picture and virtually no info, I don't think folks here are going to be able to give you too many specifics...sorry.

Peace,
Jim

Really hard to tell anything from that one small pic. HOWEVER, that body does look right to me.

Can you get more pics?

That's the only pic I have. I emailed the guy to see if he still has it, has to see if he writes me back.

I'm not real interested in buying it, but if say it's close to my work, I wouldn't mind stopping by on my way home to check it out.

Well, I went and looked at it, it's kind of a cool little guitar.

It looks all original, it's made in korea, E6 serial number, pretty heavey guitar.

Here's a pic I saw looking on line of a similar more strat shaped guitar, but has a lot of the same things as the one I looked at.

and here's a pic of one of the same type

Here's a link where the guy says it's a bullet for that upper pic

I didn't but it, if it was like $100 I probably would of went ahead and bought it, just cause I've haven't ever seen one. He said he has it listed on ebay too, but I couldn't find it.

I have seen some old Bullets that look exactly like that. It's a contemporary Tele body with a Strat headstock. The first time I saw one, I thought it was a fake and posted so. I was quickly corrected by others who had owned them and could authenticate it. That being said, there is something very weird. E6 and MIK totally doesn't make sense. I've never heard of an E6 MIK. The earliest MIKs featured an E10 sn and then it was followed by an E9 serial. My recollection is that the Bullets I saw that were made that way were MIJ Bullets. It may be worth a drive to take a look at it. Maybe the owner is mistaken about it being MIK. If that's the case then it is easily worth the $150.

Well, I looked at it today. I seen one online that had an E7 that was made in Korea. It doesn't actually say korea on it, doesn't say Japan either. So could be either. (Strike that I just went and double-checked and the one online was a e9.

It's pretty heavy, like my MIJ 80's squier.

I found the ebay ad, he spelled squier wrong so made it hard to find.

The saddles are stamped Fender twice, both going the same way, like I've seen on MIJ guitars, but don't know if it's the same on MIK guitars.

Though the guitar has a lot of Tele/Strat vibes about it. It is not a Fender.
