If anyone has a Schecter Tapped Assembly, circa 1976, I would like to get in touch to exchange information.

I replaced my original Fender pickguard assembly (pickups & all) with this tapped assembly in 1976.

I can't find any information online, and would like to know more about it, ie. components, # made, wiring, current value, etc.

It's pretty hot and I love it. I'm just looking for more information.

Thanks!

Hi holakent: lot of amazingly knowledgeable folks here. But supposing nobody has an answer to this very specialised question have you tried asking Schecter about it?

Just in case...

Good luck - C

Hey, holakent - you sound like my long-lost brother! Yeah I've got one, and I did the same thing you did at about the same time. I love mine as well, and I've already done as Ceri suggested quite some time ago; I got a personal reply from Dave Schecter. I think I've still got it around, I'll look for it...[/img]

I emailed Schecter, and someone wrote back to say "they didn't know anything about that, the company has changed hands so many times".

So, I did some digging and uncovered some amazing info I will share if you want to write me at holakent at gmail dot com.

Btw, what is a Ceri?......is that the amp made in Malaysia?

   HA - fabulous, thank you!

Those were all completely new to me. I shall think of myself as the Center for Earthquake Research and Information from this moment on! :D

Also, I'd completely forgotten about CeriaTone Amps - they're real but sadly nothing to do with me. And now I look again, some interesting window shopping on that particular website... 8)

Cheers - C
