hehe, new to electric guitars, since i used acoustic for a few years,how do you take off the the tonepots and volume and all?do u jst pull it out?

After you get the knob off there's a nut on the shaft that you take off,but to get the pots seperated from the pickguard,you have to take the pick guard off because the pots have to be taken off the bottom of the guard....make sense?

Yep. Just pull if off.

Or if it won't come easy use the rounded ends of a couple of spoons as levers on either side of the knob to prise it off. Or some people use a boot lace wound round the shaft beneath the knob to tug it off (carefully).

Yes KCW. The knobs on the Strat will slide off. A small screwdriver or thin knife blade inserted under the knob can wiggle the knob off. Might want to use a cloth or paper to protect the pickguard. The first time you take them off it can be a little stiff.
