Well the loaded guard came in today, and let me just say putting those in put this strat back to the top of the playing order. Got that bluesy sound and a lil twang to boot. Thanks for all the input and help heres a pic check it out.

Fantastic looking sienna burst on that strat! so deep compared to others I've seen.

I must admit I love the white pickguard on that finish, puts the attention back onto the guitar. And now you've got tex spec's in there, I'm sure theres gonna be plenty of attention on that guitar :)

I have a Roadhouse Strat with Texas specials in it,,,I actual prefer the sound of the Texas specials over the Lindy Fralin Blues pickups i have in another for Blues styled music or anything clean or with slight overdrive..

But i have found that as great as these pickups sound clean or overdriven when it comes to running Fuzz or thick distortion it is time to reach for another guitar..

But they defiantly do have amazing tones for the blues and the Roadhouse because of the Texas specials has quickly become one of my favorite guitars..By the way if that is a 4 ply tortoise pickguad you took off and you are interested in letting it go please contact me...

Your guitar looks awesome. Thanks for the pics. I am not a fan of the tortise shell pick guards. I took mine off my CV 60 and replaced it with a white 3 ply pickguard. Very similar look, except mine is not a Fender with a Sienna Burst.

thanks for the comments guys.. I totally agree that the white pickguard looks best on this guitar it brings out the color like you said, and unlike the tortoise shell it lets you focuse more on the guitars color and woodgrain other than the flashy pickguard. but the sound is amazing I love it changed the way i feel about the guitar. I'm glad i decided to change it and you guys agree lol

That's a great looking guitar. You won't be disappointed with the tone from that one. I play a ton of different thing with my Texas Specials, including a little metal/rock stuff. They sound great after I adjusted the pickups again, hopefully for the last time. With everything I've done, my Roadhouse is now a one of a kind Deluxe...

Specifically, here's the base components:
2008 Roadhouse Strat w/
-Texas Specials
-4 Ply Brown Tortiseshell Pickguard
-Artic White

Changes:
-MIM Deluxe Lonestar Neck
-MIA Gold Tuners
-Vintage Fender stamped Gold Tremolo w/ full block
-Gold pickguard screws
-Gold pickup/selector switch screws
-Gold Schaller Strap Locks
-Gold Input Jack
-MIA Gold String Tree

Thing of beauty!!!!
