Do all Strats with Lace sensors also have the TBX tone control?

I've always thought the TBX particular to the Clapton.

I've got a '94 Plus (40th Anniverary) with Lace Red,Silver, Blue & the TBX control. I absolutely love the sound of the middle Silver in this guitar. I thought it was the pickup that I loved, but the other day I disconnected the TBX & let it run with no tone control on middle/bridge. That pickup was bright, harsh, & edgy like a lot of Strat & Strat type guitars I've played (and didn't like). So, it seems to me that the TBX is what I love. (BTW, I really liked the brightness of the Red in the bridge unloaded. Finally had the clean twang & the bite with gain I've always wanted).

I was a little surprised at how much love the Lace sensors got in this thread (it's the internet, there are always H8Rs :D ). I thought I was the only one who really liked them. Then, after my test, I'm wondering how much the TBX has to do with how many people like them.

All Plus, Plus Deluxe and Ultra have TBX. Even on Tele, P Bass and Jazz Bass Plus series :)

The Jazz Bass Plus doesn't had the TBX.

The bass you're talking about was the American "Boner" Jazz Bass. The Jazz Bass Plus used a Kubicki-designed active 2-band preamp and a rotary switch for active/passive operation. Both basses were the precursors to the American Deluxe Jazz Bass of 1995.
