Hey guys, its time to change my strings now but im not sure which ones to buy, (elixir, slinkys) and so on. Can anyone help with gauges recommended? and brand

I know ure not meant to leave an acoustic guitar without strings for along time, but withthe fender can i leave it unstrung for a a week ? or so?

String choice is personal preference, man, there is no correct answer for it. If you want Slinky's on it put Slinky's on it. If you want Elixir then go that way. My hands don't sweat very bad so there isn't really an advantage for me paying the extra cash for Elixir.

On my Clapton I keep it strung up with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 010-046. If I'm going to be playing live I change over to DR, same gauge. I just love DR strings but they are costly.

btw,, i jst opened the backplate of my fender,, is there meant to be sawdust in the cavities?

my acoustic had a bit too lol,

Dean Markley Vintage Series. I use .010's, so I believe its the 1973's.
