Hi there,it is my first post on Fender Forum.

Here is the my problem, and my haze.

I bought 57' RI Fender Stratocaster Body,i bought it as a Made in USA.It was made on september 1999.

Body is 2 tone sunburst,it has 8 pickguard holes, finish seems like nitro.I bought an original USA 57 ri tremolo, pickguard and they match on my body.Everything is ok until here.

But part number of the body(on neck pocket)is a little bit complicated.Part number of body is seems like x54109 or x54169 (you will see on pictures).
But i could not find any part number like this on Fender web site.
here is the pictures of body :

Here is the part number and date of made on neck pocket :

Fender says: part number of the Made in USA 57' ri Fender Stratocaster Body is 0053806503
Here is the link,

http://support.fender.com/diagrams/stra ... 02BPg3.pdf

That serial number is (what Fender Web Site says) not match with my serial number (what has my body)

Does anyone have a idea about it?

Thank You

Your worrying about nothing. That is a 57 body, Those codes your looking at aren't necessarily part numbers as bodies and necks are not available as after market parts.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. It's clearly a nice Fender body. Part designations and factory procedures change, my friend. Why worry about something that doesn't matter to begin with?

Hang on I'm having a change of mind.

Is there anyway you can measure the depth of the body, front to back?

I ask because of the screwholes in the trem cavity. They happen when the trem screws are too bit for the body or the body is too thin. You only need a couple of MM difference.

Bluesoul

45-47mm The reason I asked is because Squier and other aftermarket bodies are between 41-43mm. With such bodies the tremscrews breaking through to the trem cavity is quite common. However it would appear that someone has been a little overzealous putting the screws in. It happens.
There is always some variation in the depth of the body, just the same way there is variation in neck shapes.

I really am convinced the guitar body is genuine. Everything adds up and I see nothing that cant be reasonably explained (those trem screws). The neck pockets of the guitar looks great. Fender employ a lot of different methods of securing the guitar when spraying. Nail or extra screw holes are normal and aren't always in the same place. Heres one of mine.

Mexican strat after I'd routed it for a neck humbucker.
