both my hyway 1 have 70s headstock and rosewood fretboard. but they play good. next strat will either be an american, a lonestar, or roadhouse,
white with maple fretboard.

now which do you prefer, humbucker or single coil?

Single coils..strat style or P90. I love em.

Both of headstocks are good, but I really like reversed 70's...don't know why...single coils are cools, because them gives the original look of Fender... 8)

In reply to cyclingjar, i much prefer single coils. I have a les paul, which has humbuckers, and it sounds really nice, but i prefer the versitile sound of the single coil on my strats.

Possibly the best sounding pickup in the world is the Texas special strat pickup.

Big or small ? There can only be one answer given: BOTH!! The 50's might be classy, but ask Jimi H., Ritchie B. or Yngwie, and allways remember: "We all came out to Montreux on the lake Geneva shoreline"
(Carrying our big head on the back...)Choose your favorite and rock on!
Cheers form Cologne/Germany!

Yes sir, correct! A revolution, right place, right time. "In Rock" was breathtaking, a formative experience. But just the "Mark II" aera, Blackmore rules, right ?

I see most of you like the small headstock. I truly love the large headstock. it has its agressive and alternative style. when you look at your guitar it gives some counterweight to the body. and the word stratocaster is marvelously bent. small headstock looks like it didn't grow enough.

70's style, for sure. It's big, brash, and bold. Just like Rock N' Roll.
